Conclusion
Mike Mignola is a creative author and artist who has developed one of the most popular and imaginative horror graphic novel series. As this web project has demonstrated, Mignola has  done this by bringing central Christian ideas his popular culture medium and vividly adapting them. Each adaptation does more than just connect the religious and the fictional, however. Every Hellboy project—the graphic novels, the spin-off series B.R.P.D., and the films—reminds us of the intense influence of Christianity and its continuing significance.

Mignola uses the platform of Hellboy to convey his basic ideas of Christianity: that it has been and should be a saviour of humanity; that extremism needs to be eliminated; that ideas of true and false religious figures have to be investigated. As his most important creation, Hellboy, shows, Mignola goes over the top to teach readers to trust Christian ideas and symbolism. He also demonstrates how appearances can be deceiving. Although bright red, menacing, and mutant, Hellboy conveys the good morals of faithfulness and dedication to the Christian religion. Time after time he puts everything on the line for Christianity, and in his own way follows the path that Jesus himself followed. Mignola takes the Bible and revamps it for contemporary readers, but each storyline he develops and every panel he draws conveys the hard-hitting morals and purpose of the Bible (which is to convert people to Christianity). Mignola may disguise his ideas in fantastic figures and historically or myth-based enemies of the soul, but his message is clear as day for the keen reader.
